Barn Door QAL Update – WIP Wednesday
I've been complaining that this is the first January ever without any snow. Well, I woke up this morning to 6 inches of fresh powder! Wahoo! I didn't want to expose my precious camera to the snow, so I hope these iphone photos of my progress on the barn door quilt do it justice. I really love it. I am still adjusting to my new life out in the country. I really don't get cell service. I drive 45 minutes away once a week for groceries. The most exciting thing that happened today is that I saw two coyotes. It is weird that this is my life. But I'm loving it for the most part. An Interesting Challenge
Remember last year when I vowed to send a shot of modernity (and maybe a shot of tequila ;)) to my local quilt show? Well the time has come friends. And I am freaking out a little. Sunday Stash | 02
This week I stashed a few basics. I'm really making an effort to get more of these types of fabrics because I realized they are my favorite thing to sew with. I'm basically obsessed with essex yarn dyed linen/cotton so I was super excited to get to see the denim-blue in person. It doesn't disappoint. I am thinking about backing the barn door quilt in it. EPP Shooting Stars – What’s Next?
As I finished sewing up my latest star, I got really excited. "Could I have enough to be done?" I eagerly laid them all out on the floor and got out my measuring tape. Let's just say I need at least another 15. Good thing I really enjoy hand sewing at nights while we watch movies.
