I hope everyone has had a wonderful and productive start to the new year. I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions, but I do take the time to reflect in this quiet time of the year and think about things I think to do differently. After reflecting on what I want this year to be like, I was left with a word. Intentional. I’d like to do things with purpose, have a plan and direction and stick with it.
One thing I’d like to be more intentional with is my Instagram account and what I post there. There are times when I’m posting all the time and very engaged and then there are weeks where I just drop off the radar. Not that there’s anything wrong with dealing with life as it comes, but I’d like to be more focused and engaged on a regular basis.
So I decided to create a little Instagram guide for myself to help organize my posts, remind myself of photo tips, and provide a list of quilty hashtags to use on my photos. Once I was done, I loved it! I was so excited to have a tool that could really help me.
But then I thought, why am I just making this for me? I should share it with my quilty friends! So that’s what I’m going to do!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 My Instagram guide, IG on Point, is now available for free to anyone who subscribes to my Half-Square Headlines newsletter. Half-Square Headlines is a once-a-month modern quilting newsletter with an exclusive quilter interview and tons of other inspiration. Want to see what it’s like? Check out last month’s edition with a super fun interview with Suzy Williams of Suzy Quilts fame. If you’re ready to subscribe, you can click here.
If you love the guide, I’d be so grateful if you’d share it with your friends by pinning the image below 🙂
