This week I stashed a few basics. I’m really making an effort to get more of these types of fabrics because I realized they are my favorite thing to sew with. I’m basically obsessed with essex yarn dyed linen/cotton so I was super excited to get to see the denim-blue in person. It doesn’t disappoint. I am thinking about backing the barn door quilt in it. I also got a tiny piece of the Briar Rose strawberries because they are just too cute. I imagine this sneaking in to a baby girl’s quilt in the near future.

I also spent a little time this week creating the perfect pink fabric collection dream wish list. Rachel from Stitched in Color is hosting a “Pink Is” mosaic contest. It was really fun discovering new fabrics.
My first entry – Pink is bold. Pink stretches the limits from coral to violet. It doesn’t back down or hide from the spotlight. It is there to be noticed.
My second entry – Pink is Bubblegum. Preteen sweetness. Listening to your favorite pop band and dreaming of your crush.
Making these definitely has me dreaming of an all pink quilt!
Linking up with Molli Sparkles for the Sunday Stash!

Ugh, I need to get some of that essex yarn dyed linen because I know I will love it. And there are so many colours of it now… must investigate! Thanks for linking up!

You will not be disappointed. I have it in Flax as well and I usually don’t use a lot of brown, but I think it is the perfect neutral.

Aloha Michelle…I just had to pop over when I saw your last name. My maiden name is also Bartholomew and you just don’t see that everyday. You have a beautiful space online. My morning is just that much more beautiful with your blogs to peruse.

Thank you for the sweet comment! It is not often I run across another Bartholomew! I married into the name, but have become quite attached 🙂 I am looking forward to my afternoon cup of cocoa while browsing your blog!
